NATIONAL MARGARITA DAY!?! Why did I not know about this? I love margaritas. I've never made my own before, though, so thanks for posting the recipe! I shall try it myself sometime.

You're welcome! Make sure that if you are making margaritas to always get high quality tequila. It can be expensive but it is worth it because cheap tequila has synthetic agave in it and a lot of people have bad reactions to it!

Will do! Do you have any particular favorite brands?

El Tesoro is good and reasonably priced (and you're likely to be able to find it in an ordinary liquor store). Other decent brands you're likely to be able to find that won't utterly kill your budget: Don Julio, Herradura, Cazadores. All of those will run about $35-40 a bottle. Most Cuervo and Sauza lines (except their "top shelf" products) are made with fake agave and have caramel color in them, so they can leave you with a pretty bad hangover. If those prices are too steep for your budget, check to see if it says 100% agave on the bottle. If it does, you should be okay.

I swear that when I looked at the lime on the rim, I actually smelled it for just a second. And my mouth watered.

8:42am on a Thursday is way too early for a margarita, right?
