Lost Wax!

Jan 22, 2009 00:28

I was all set to do a LOST post when the show started tonight, and then about two minutes into it, I just couldn't really get my stride. Let's face it, I think everyone here knows that LOST is not really the show it was the first season, but last season finally started to feel like it was getting back on track; it wasn't quite so soap-opera ( Read more... )

Oh god... don't get me started on chin hair. And neck hair is the worst EVER. I was thinking of waxing at home, and now your post has made me wonder if it's worth the effort.

I've tried waxing at home, and I really think waxing is one of those things that takes tons of practice to be good enough to do it, let alone do it on yourself. I don't have a neck hair, problem, just chin, but apparently my chin hair is too thick for the wax!

I think it is one of those things that everyone has a problem with but no one admits because everyone thinks they're the only one with the problem!

Is it really that much better? One of my cousins has told me to try laser, but then I read reviews for laser places online and there are all these horror stories about discolored skin.

I think it's a case of the horror stories standing out among everything else. My skin is relatively dark, and it still worked out just fine. They just tell you to use sunscreen, but I forget half the time >_> The permanence aspect is really the best part. It does hurt though, but I'm guessing not as much as waxing :P

The whole waxing hurting thing is a myth. It hurts for about a second the same way it hurts when you rip off a bandaid, but it's not NEARLY as painful as bandaid ripping. How much does lasering cost?

I have the super-posh tweezers, and I TOTALLY have the old lady whisker in the mole on my chin, too! The problem is that mine kind of number in the dozens-- way more than six. I actually have a developed callus on the side of my finger from plucking them in places where I forgot my tweezer. :-(
