Apartment Take Two

So after I lost my apartment with the bar, I went out last night to look at more apartments without bars.
They were clearly inferior, having no bar, but they were actually pretty damn fine. I had a hard time deciding which one to put the application in on.
I finally picked one that was in not as nice shape as the other two but that was on the

My roommate's hair is as curly as yours and she straightens it with a straightener. You could do that then curl?

That picture is actually what my hair looks like in CT at that length if I let it dry right. (I have completely different hair in New Orleans, though.)

Straightener like a chemical or straightener like an electrical appliance?

I asked butterbuns this down below, but is a flat iron going to work any better than a big barrel curl, do you think? The curler did zip to my hair except make it frizzy, so I'm not sure how much better a straight one will work. :-/

You'd probably have to straighten your hair first, then curl it

A blowdryer and Potion #9? That's what the lady used the one time she got my hair straight in the salon, but I've only ever had one salon person succeed in getting my hair straight.

I would try some straightening serum while it's wet, then do some pin curls. That might work, but I've never done it on hair as curly as yours.

Good luck on the apartment! We are still on the prowl for apartments, and apparently it is Not Fun. Luckily, I'm not in New York. I just have to look at pictures and show up to apply/sign the lease.

Thank you! I think for the party worst comes to worst I can get the top straight and then pin the curls back a bit.
