What a lovely vignette. That's the Bodie I see, too: running / staying, and though going to his local foreshadows how much he doesn't want to run (and the comment about tasting Doyle! Ooh!), he's also got that brave honesty about him. Thank you!

Thanks so much, I'm really glad it worked for you. I do think Bodie's really brave, they both are, but it's better when they're brave together. And I'm thrilled that you liked the tasting line, I kinda liked that myself. *g*

I'm really glad that you liked it, thanks. In my mind, they're always going to get together but sometimes it just takes a bit to get there.

lovely story and great idea - having the contrast in one of them.

Thanks so much, I'm glad you liked it. It was a bit of a cheat, but I really wanted to write something for this challenge and I was really stuck.

I thought this was lovely, especially the following analysis:

Doyle nodded. "Means it could fall apart just as easy. But you don't like the idea of leaving either, do you? Study in contrasts, that's you, mate. Want to run and want to stay at the same time. Want me as your partner, on the streets and in bed and unless I miss my guess, everywhere else. But you also want to be the lone wolf, don't get attached and you won't get hurt. Hate to tell you this, Bodie, but I think it's too late for that."

So Bodie - a mass of contrasts and contradictions, which is what makes him so interesting.

Such a clever idea, many thanks!

Thank you so much, I'm really glad that you liked it. I think Bodie is more complicated and a lot smarter than he sometimes gets credit for, and you're right, that's what makes him so interesting.

That prompt seems to be very inspring and that's no surprise if you think about it. Both their back stories and characters are so different and complex. Your story works wonderfully in that way. Running. but too afraid to loose the taste, I love that!

Thanks so much, I'm really glad that you liked it. They are very different and very complicated men, that and the fact that canon is open enough that we can make our own interpretations, is one of the reasons that I love Pros so much.
