Martin Shaw in "Even Break"

Does anyone know anything about this picture? Apparently it is from a short 1992 movie in which MS played a drunk? I'd never seen this picture before [click on it for a larger version].
...1992 and the man still doesn't know what the buttons on his shirt are for! :-)

I've never seen this photo before. Am wondering how a man that can be so drop dead gorgeous in some roles, can look so sleazy in others.

The sign of a terrific actor?
He does look rather disreputable here. And definitely "NO" to the hair! :-)
I do like the shirt, though...

I hadn't either. At first I wasn't sure it was really him!

...is the only thing I can find circa 1992. Apparently Steve Gough directed a short film funded by Ch4, The Welsh Arts Council and some private money. Martin Shaw got involved apparently because he liked the script, but I can't find any pictures and the synopsis doesn't seem right for the one you have.

I can't find anything right for 1992, so who knows? Maybe it was a 'guest' on a tv show instead? Perhaps Mr Shaw might deign to enlighten us at some point?

Anyhoo, that's all I have. I've always buttoned all my buttons, so maybe in some yin yang way we balance out the universe? Or maybe I'm just up past my bedtime?

Oh and aren't we all glad he never figured out what buttons were for? *g*

Hey had a look at the site the picture is from and as you say all the site seems to do is confirm it is called Even Break and give a tiny bit of other information about it:

http://hughjanes.co.uk/even_break.php

Unfortunately my searching did not turn up anything else.
