the short one word lines reflect the urgency the emotion that is flashing through his mind because flashes are all he has time for.

That's it! You've expressed perfectly what I felt about the piece.

I'm so glad that worked. The scene in "Runner" and sw33n3y's art both had that air of tension that I wanted to capture. Thanks, Mate, for the kind words!!

Oh that's it exactly! ..The rush of thoughts about what's happening around him, and what to do.

You gave such a complete picture of the scene by describing the physical and emotional elements of his flight-or-fight moment.

I loved that you captured the time-slowing down effect of this kind of situation as well.

I'll also be thinking of these lines when I see Doyle standing there in that moment, now.

I'm so chuffed that a work of mine could help inspire such wonderful writing!

P.S. I hope writing this has helped ease your own worry.

I'm so glad you liked this! (and that's where the "worry" came in!) Thanks for the kind words. I'm happy that this fit with your intriguing graphic. *VBG*

You've captured that moment brilliantly, and it's a perfect match for the gorgeous artwork too. Wonderful!
