Ok, second chances. For me, this would be in relation to the Vampire Diaries. I utterly adored the first season, and then number two aired.

At first, it was ok. Lots of Damon, which I don't have any right complaining about. Then suddenly (and I don't know where this came from), I hated it. The characters and their relationships and the storyline. EVERYTHING!! So, I gave up watching!

It was rather upsetting as I was very fond of the show, so maybe it's time to re-watch S2, clear mind and try again?

Does anyone else have an opinion on this, or am I simply going crazy?

x-men | hank/alex | lost somewhere in the history finkpishnets June 25 2011, 06:08:10 UTC
Once, before everything had fallen to shit and they’d learnt that all naivety got you was a handful of broken dreams and a less metaphorical broken jaw, Alex had told Hank that he loved him. They were drunk and high on the adrenaline of a mission gone right, and he hadn’t really meant it that way (if there was a way to mean it), and Hank had smiled and punched him on the shoulder and that had been that.

The world’s shifted and righted itself and shifted again since then, but Hank thinks about it sometimes. Alex is married to Lorna now; Hank doesn’t see them much between trips, and maybe that’s a good thing because for all they’re family, they were never really friends, and the bittersweet taste that leaves on his tongue isn’t particularly appealing.

That’s not what bothers him, though, not really. Labels aside, they have a history that’s undeniable and links them - all of them - indefinitely. No, what gets to Hank, shut up in his lab playing with fire that’s already burnt him once, is that he never said it back ( ... )

This is brilliant Bobbie. Subtle, but at the same time hard hitting . I love it, your writing is amazing!

Love you xx

Family not friends, I think that's what hurts the most about this. Beautiful

Narnia: Lucy and the Macready: westingturtle June 26 2011, 17:13:43 UTC
There was a rocking horse in the old nursery, cherry red saddle still bright beneath the dust, reins worn down to string form someone’s happy childhood. It wasn’t a part of the house shown on tour to visitors, but Mrs. Macready kept it clean all the same ( ... )

Sherlock (BBC) John/Sherlock "Jigsaw Puzzle" karaokegal June 28 2011, 05:19:22 UTC
“I’m not going to play this game,” John insisted, only to have Sherlock lift a contemptuous eyebrow.

“Are you at least going to give me a hint what I might have done this time?”

Sherlock crossed his arms.

“Did I throw out one of your experiments? Was I remiss in paying our television licence? Have I been snoring too loudly?”

John caught a diabolical gleam in Sherlock’s eyes.

“Who else knows you snore?”

“Oh. That. You said it didn’t matter.”

Sherlock’s expression reflected a mixture of anger and self-hatred.

“Feel free to mark this as a first. I was wrong.

harry potter, harry and ron, chess pieces croissantkatie June 30 2011, 14:02:17 UTC
Harry looked down at the chessboard in amazement. It wasn’t that he had lost, he always lost to Ron. It was a fact of life. Like Ginny being a redhead and his kids managing to get the stickiest substances ground into the carpet. The bit which stunned him was how some of the debris from his king being smashed into tiny pieces by a particular vicious bishop had ended up in his fire whiskey ( ... )
