Brr. It is getting cold, isn't it? I'll be keeping the first floor lobby of the Marshall Street apartments warm if anybody wants a respite from the weather.

Weather aside, it IS nice to be back. And I hear my nephew is planning something for the community - care to let your uncle in on the fun, Zuko?

...Oh, I uh... yeah I forgot.

Uncle, there are a few people that were curious about our firebending so, I was thinking instead of just talking about it, I'd show them...

I know there are a few people, like Umi and Mona that have already asked to see it so...I just thought, well, why not do a demonstration after class?

I meant to ask you about it, I'd like you to be there too and maybe demonstrate how to bend lightning. You could even instruct while I go through the forms...if, that's okay?

I'd be honored if you were to be there. After all, you helped me to hone my ability.

What an excellent idea! I'd be honored to help you share a bit of our native culture with the locals. That sounds like a fun afternoon.

Don't worry, hail doesn't last on the ground very long, I shouldn't think. Not that...we've ever gotten it in Hawaii. I miss home.

What's going on, with Zuko?

There was never a lot of hail in the Fire Nation, either, though I did experience plenty of it towards the poles and in the Earth Kingdom. I can't say those were . . . particularly pleasant times to be in the country. Fond as I am of the Earth Kingdom, I'm not nostalgic in the least for its harsh winters.

It seems my nephew is planning a firebending demonstration! I think you'll like it. Firebending is as beautiful an art as it is deadly a style of combat.

Fire spinning tricks are pretty popular in my own culture, actually. My...friend, David, he does it for show, but I bet it's nothing like actually producing the fire yourself...without the help of a lighter and some kerosene-soaked rags tied to staff-ends, that is.

A poor imitation is nothing next to the real thing. You're in for a treat.

. . . are you gonna set one of the chairs on fire? What're you gonna do when we run out of chairs?

No chairs will be harmed in the warming of this room, I promise.

. . . are you gonna breathe fire on stuff?

Why would I breathe fire inside a very flammable apartment?

I've heard a little about you, Mr. Iroh. It's very nice to meet you, I'm Ness.

Yes, all good. I learned you were teaching the morning classes with Mulan. Hope you don't mind a new student!

I never turn down a new student. Well, I haven't yet, anyway.

As long as you're willing to work hard, I'm sure you'll be a fine student. I'm honored to have you.
