Considering that movements of the earth are typically linked to molten activity, I'm not surprised. Nonetheless...perhaps you should keep an eye on the situation. As a precautionary measure, of course.

Yes, earth and fire are closer linked than many would suspect.

I don't anticipate immediate danger for the city - from fire, not earthquakes - but volcanoes have a way of reaching farther than their immediate area.

The Fire Nation was an island of many volcanoes. We were all well educated as to the impacts of their activity, but monitoring their activity was largely the domain of scholars and monks.
