Your account of the retreat reminded me of a summer Christian work retreat that I went on when I was maybe 14, and I also felt pretty much "in a state of near hysteria" when that was over! This is an interesting memory. Fun song, too (isn't it funny how eighties metal sounds as soft as rockabilly or Elvis compared to today's metal? It's so different.)

I know, it's almost a pop song by today's standards. I really like those power chords.

The retreat was terrible and probably dangerous. We left in an awful state, boundaries eroded and incredibly susceptible to suggestion.
