I loved Labyrinth too. (It scared the hell out of me when I first saw it as a kid - which was probably part of the charm.)

I was just old enough not to be too scared of it. David Bowie singing 'Jump Magic Jump' is class and I can't wait to see it again.

The Dark Crystal terrified me though!

Haven't read the Hauntology one properly myself yet.

Roland Barthes is possibly my favourite theorist simply because he's so fun to read.

Yes, I had to read him earlier this year and I remember marveling at his mastery over the short-essay form. I should finish "Mythologies" this summer. Maybe it's one of the books I won't take notes on, and just enjoy the ride, so to speak.

I love "Mythologies". It's been a huge influence on how I look at culure.
