"GITS SAC" isn't even it's proper name. it's just a stupid abbreviation. there are also two movies which come long before Stand Alone Complex, and aren't bad.

Also Spirit Guardian Moribito is something I have only seen a little bit of but looks quite good.

(PS. As for television shows, Highlander is a kind of dorky, kind of awesome export from the 90s about immortals doing battle. )
