I sometimes wonder if I'm the only chorister not overflowing with enthusiasm for the Mozart Requiem. It's a fine piece, and, you know, Mozart's last and all that, but as far as requiems go, I prefer the Fauré or the Duruflé, and as far as Mozart goes, I prefer the Coronation Mass or the Solemn Vespers.
