Who: Seras and Heero
When: Today
Where: Training Grounds
Rating: G
Summary: Heero runs into Seras and gets her to let him test fire her gun.

Heero checked his ammo before leaving the hut. He had just finished cleaning his gun out and wanted to get in some shooting practice. He slipped the extra clip into his back pocket he walked towards the training grounds.

Seras was already on the training grounds, getting Harkonnen ready to fire. She'd been keeping to herself a good bit since Alucard's second attack, but even a vampire needed to get out once in a while.

He stepped up, pausing when he saw Seras with her large cannon-like weapon. He decided to let her fire before he moved over towards her so he didn't break her focus.

She appreciated it, lifting the gun up and taking a visual aim before firing.

Heero watched, impressed at the firepower. He'd seen the weapon itself, but not in action. With her shot done, he walked over to stand near her. "That's some weapon," he remarked.

Seras smiled. "Thank you. It was made to take down supernatural threats, so it has to be powerful."

"I'd imagine so," he said.

"Though it's not as heavy as it looks, to me anyway," she said, holding it up as though it barely weighed anything.

"Hn." Heero watched. He knew she wasn't human, but it was still a bit odd to see a small girl like her hauling that giant gun around. "Mind if I try?" he asked.

The vampire looked him over, a little unsure. "I suppose so. It's got a kick though."

He nodded. "Okay." He kind of figured it would, but it was hard to tell how much seeing someone who was supernatural herself firing it.

Seras offered it over, pulling another round out of her bag. "Need help loading or do you think you can figure it out?"

"I can figure it out," he said, carefully hefting the weapon into his arms. It was definitely as heavy as it looked. Deciding to go about this like it was a rocket propelled grenade launcher, he crouched.

She stepped back to watch him, ready to jump in if she needed to. "Alright."

He loaded the cannon after studying to see how things worked. Getting it right on that first try, he braced himself properly for it. It was clear he'd fired things similar before. However, that still didn't prepare him for the actual kick the gun had. He was on his back before he knew it.

Seras quickly grabbed Harkonnen before it could fall on him, kneeling down beside Heero. "You alright?"

"That's quite a kick," he said.

"I did tell you," she said, holding back a giggle now that she could see he hadn't gotten himself hurt.

"Hn." Heero conceeded that point. He got up, dusting the sand off.

She shouldered the gun. "Walter could barely lift it onto the table when he gave it to me."

"I take it he's human, too?" he asked. He hadn't had trouble lifting it. It was balancing himself against the kick that he'd fallen over from. Then again, in his own mind, he could probably could work on it.

"He is. Walter is the Hellsing butler," Seras said. "He designed both Master's and my weapons."

Heero nodded. He glanced back at the target. With the kick, he'd been way off, having gone up and over the target with his shot. He frowned at himself.

The Draculina set to reloading her gun, intending to continue her practice.

Heero figured he could get used to it eventually, but it would require a lot of practice. He decided to step back for the time being and watch Seras again.

Seras chose a new rock a bit further back than Heero's, aimed, and let off another shot.

Heero pulled out his own gun then, the first clip already loaded and ready to go. Clicking off the safety, he took aim and started his own practice session... that being the whole reason he'd gone down to the training grounds to begin with.

seras, heero
