HELLO TCG

It's that time of the year! Christmas decorations, snow, fat men in red suits, striped socks, candy canes, blinking lights, caroling, Christmas specials on TV!

And since the TCG couldn't very well let Christmas go by without something Christmasy of its own, here is a jolly Christmas Event for you all!

(by the way, if you haven't checked out event cards yet, you should. THIS IS YOUR FIRST CHANCE TO EARN THEM.)

. 2007 CHRISTMAS EVENT .

This year, the idea is to give and you shall receive!

There's two events you can participate in. Participation in one doesn't exclude participation in the other, so you can do both~

The first event is the Christmas Charity, and the second is the Secret Santa. Participation in either event will earn you santa points! Santa points can be exchanged for a variety of prizes, all of which can be seen here.

CHRISTMAS CHARITY

Donate to the needy and show your generosity!

The idea of Christmas Charity is for those people who have lots of cards to help out those who are just starting, or don't have as many cards.

Players that are level three and above (101+ cards) can help by donating cards.
Players that are level two and below (100 cards and under) can sign up for receiving cards.

Each donated card is worth 1 santa point. Special cards are worth 2 santa points. Certificates are not accepted. Receiving cards will earn you no points.

On the 24th of December, all donated cards will be transformed into new random cards to be given to those who sign up as receiving - so you can use this opportunity to get rid of any doubles or cards you can't trade away!

You can't donate cards from decks you've mastered.

You can sign up for donating or receiving here! You can donate any amount of cards you'd like.

SECRET SANTA

One of the most fun parts of Christmas! Give gifts and get gifts in turn! Awesomepants!

To participate, you must first tag in here with your wishlist. It will be public, so anyone will be able to see what you want! You have until the 19th of December to do so.

Your wishlist may contain cards/certificates that you want, up to 10 items in total. An item can be ONE normal card, ONE special card, or ONE certificate. Only cards that can be gotten from the randomizer OR limited edition cards can be in the wishlists. Event cards (pokedex151) can't be in the wishlist.

You can edit your wishlist at any time until the 24th of December, as long as it was posted originally before or on the 19th.

Starting December 20th (earlier if you can't be around at the time), everyone who commented with their wish list must reply to this comment with the gifts they're giving. You need to give as many gifts as there are items in your wishlist. No more, no less. If your wishlist has 10 cards, you need to give 10 cards. If it's 10 specials, you need to give 10 specials. Value is listed in the comment you'll reply to with your gifts.

Giving items that are in someone's wishlist will earn you 3 santa points.

Giving items that aren't in anyone's wishlist will earn you 1 santa point.

On the 24th, all items given will be organized and sorted! Those in someone's wishlist will be directed to the person, and those not in anyone's wishlist will be magically transformed into something in someone's wishlist and given to them. Yay!

You are not guaranteed to get every item in your wishlist! If some of the things you wanted weren't available, you will be given random cards instead, matching the value of the cards you gave. Meaning, if you gave 1 special card and didn't get the special in your wishlist, you'll be given 1 random special instead.

You are, however, guaranteed to get at least one item. /o/

All members who sign up until the 24th of December are eligible for participation in the events! Both events end on the 24th of December, at 3:00 PM GMT -3:00 (or 6:00 PM UTC). Prizes and stuff will be handed out as soon as possible, since mods are human too and also celebrate the holidays. ♥

If you have any questions, please ask them in this post!
