I've noticed a few things coming up frequently lately, so I'm addressing them here instead of repeating myself. Been meaning to write this up for the last couple of weeks and have just been busy trying to rush an art project for my Grandmother's birthday to get it framed in time. ^^;;
1. As stated on the rules page, players should be participating in affiliates at least once a month to earn cards.
Also, trade requests typically should not take longer than one week to be replied to.
If you cannot do one or both of these, please declare a semi or full hiatus
here so we are aware of your accurate activity level and everyone in the game can know what to expect.
If you are typically away for long periods of time, be aware you may get several changed trade requests or people may no longer come to you when rushing to finish a mastery if they know you may not respond. It's in your best interest to stay active so you can get and trade more cards!
Mods, you also need to tag in here if you are taking a break from playing the game as well as taking a break from mod duties. Do not just go in and change your status on the player list yourselves just because you're mods. Comment appropriately and I'll change your player status to reflect your current activity like with anyone else. You all already know where to tag in if you need help with game posts~
2. Please remember that all activities and logs need to be linked & numbered appropriately. To see how to number your logs, see numbers 8 & 9 on
the guide.
All links should always be the parent thread link showing the full claim or trade in your logs. Do not ever use view links as these still require hunting through full pages to find the specific activity logged.
A proper trade log entry should look something like this:
Traded varia02 & varia15 for artemis10 & viola12 with
rynankh [7267-7268]
Note that there are 2 log counts as there are 2 trades listed here.
A proper activity log entry should look something like this:
Claimed half04, mafia12, pokedex33, shuusaku16 & summon14 for banners at
cb_overflow. [3801]
Note that the original claim comment is included in the thread link. This is the parent thread link for your claim and proves that it's your claim you are replying to, so please don't forget it even if it's screened. I used an un-screened prize thread for the example so you all could see everything regardless. ^^;;
3. There has been some question as to what belongs in which logs. With the exception of spirits only when trading in their respective prize posts, basically everything involving anything here at
tcg_exchange or any of our outsorcing communities (
tcg_quiz,
exchange_events,
tcg_match &
tcg_lotto) should all be in your activity log.
Anything involving trades with spirits, on member's card posts or your own card posts goes in your trade logs. This includes gifts dropped off on your personal entries as sometimes Uri is apt to do esp. after roll calls.
4. Please remember to keep all logs visibly linked in your card post. Note that logs are how all masteries and activities are verified for prizes. If they cannot be found, they cannot be verified & I can't give you your prizes. This is also why logs are always requested as proof of events.
In the event that your claim is the completion of a holiday event set, there is usually a single thread/claim that gives you this full set from the event. This is the only link that is required as log proof in this case. For all other events, any applicable logs are required as proof in your claim before I can finish it.
If something isn't linked/can't be found, you will be asked to provide the relevant links before receiving your prizes.
5. Please remember to watch for the "new week" or "confirmations sent" comments before submitting claims for the up-coming week in one of our affiliates. Many of the mods have taken to stating the week number for claims currently being accepted in these comments to help avoid any confusion.
As a standard rule, I myself usually wait until voting is up in an affiliate if the new week comment has not been posted. In this event, then submit claims for both submissions and voting as at that point the mod is either running behind or the community has been running farther behind than normal and has blurred the timing for the two together a bit most often.
Claims are always supposed to be answered within two weeks time. If a claim has taken longer than this, please let us know and we'll see to it. If it has not taken this long though and you're still waiting, please just be patient a little bit longer.
6. There have been some questions regarding choice cards. Only
sesshy_icontest or event cards/sets that specifically list special cards as prizes can claim them. All other prize post, referrals, or wish-come-true choice cards can only be normal cards.
In the case of event cards, only the chinese new years event card can literally get any choice event card. All other choice event cards only apply to current events, no past limited holidays. Please note that only a few of these cards are marked as including the masterball. If you want to collect past holiday sets you've missed, I would suggest looking to see if there is a mod card released that can claim cards from that set. Yes there are some newer holiday events that do not have mod cards at this point. They may or may not come out in the future; that has yet to be determined.
7. We currently have enough for 5 1/2 deck releases, not counting the current set. So with current deck release schedule, this means that we won't finish everything currently set until around August 2011. As such PLEASE RECOMMEND/VOTE FOR DECKS SPARINGLY. Only do so if it's a deck you REALLY want to see out. Don't vote just for the heck of it because you see it only needs one or two votes to go to pending. That really does not help us at this point. Too many more decks hitting the pending list too quickly will mean I'll have to close the recommendation entries until we catch up again, and I don't want to have to do this. So please be careful here!
Note that this is not a warning to go rush and vote for everything immediately. If I see a lot of this happening, I will close them on principle to avoid a backlog the comm can't handle. DX
I think that got most of the things I've seen going around lately. If there's something else lurking that has been confusing or you're not sure of, feel free to ask~
