Who: Jeff & Rachel When: Tuesday, November 22, 1956 Where: WMHS, the auditorium What: Rehearsing for the competition Status/Rating: Incomplete, PG Warnings: NONE
Rachel was still not happy, but it was a performance and with that, sometimes it was a win/lose type situation. She didn't mind singing with Jeff, it was just that with this type of song she wanted to sing it with her boyfriend. She figured that she would just suck it up though and get through this, she just hoped that Finn was okay with it.
Walking into the auditorium she walked up to Jeff. "Oh good, your here, I thought I was the early one." Taking out the sheets of music she handed him his copy. "Now here are the lyrics with the music, I took the liberty of high lighting what parts are yours on your sheet and my parts on my sheet. So shall we begin?" She said looking at him as she sat her bag down and went up on the stage.
Jeff bounced up on his feet once he spotted Rachel walking in and was soon standing up on the stage. Smiling warmly at the girl, he accepted the sheet she handed him. Glancing down at the lyrics, Jeff had to admit Rachel was a talented songwriter. Indeed, all the others - ironically enough, himself included - simply claimed to have written successful songs from another era. Ethical? Perhaps not. Fun? Absolutely. Still, this meant that what Rachel was presenting him was in fact sheer talent, not mere artifice. He had to appreciate the effort, even if he felt the lyrics themselves were a little... propagandist? Or perhaps it wasn't the lyrics themselves, but the fact that Ms. Pillsbury had selected him to sing this song in an obvious reaction to the more suggestive medley he had sung in Glee club. Sam was perhaps starting to be a so-called ''bad'' influence on him. If only for the fact that he didn't entirely fit in his home era anymore. He longed for this future that was every so often talked about with wonder in their voices. He had

She was going to have to learn to get comfortable singing songs with other people besides Finn and then there was also Jesse. It wasn't the fact though that she was singing with Jeff, he seemed like a good guy, it was just the words were kind of personal. Taking a sigh she could get through it and she would. Besides, she was in love with Finn and nothing was going to change that, she would just think that to herself as she was singing the song. She felt really bad for Finn though, losing out on a duet with her and then also not getting that football scholarship that he wanted, she would be there for him through and through though. Even if it meant singing it in a song to him, she was actually working on a new masterpiece just for Finn that she would need help from the rest of the GLEE Club

''I understand.'' Said Jeff, with a short nod. ''But perhaps the fact that he wasn't in Glee this week... maybe that played a part in Ms. Pillsbury's decision? Commitment, and all that you know... I'm not saying Finn lacks it, but Ms. Pillsbury doesn't know us that well. Not like Mr. Schue does.''
Once Rachel started singing, the blond boy soon followed with his part
''I never opened up to anyone So hard to hold back when I'm holding you in my arms. But we don't need to rush this...''
Then, both he and Rachel started singing in unison...
(OOC: Sorry this took so long, schoolwork's killing me at the moment. Feel free to make Jeff sing. :) )
