Being in the hospital, she thought about possibly volunteering as a candy stripper like she did before. Volunteering wasn't so bad, and it helped that she got to keep the sexy outfit. If she had volunteered, she would have found out a lot sooner.
She was here now and that was that. She knocked on the door and peeked into his room with her usual smirk. "Have fun away from me?" she teased.

"Of course not. Life was miserable without you here," he had been bored to tears. He looked at her and quickly sat down trying to block his ass from showing. A wheeze came from his chest. The nurses had told him it would go away eventually but he wouldn't be at full health for a long time. With the winter months quickly approaching he'd have to be extra careful.
"I've missed you to be sure." He crossed his legs at his ankles. He was self conscious. Forever had passed. She had probably moved on to find someone new. She was too pretty to not have. He wouldn't have blamed her if she had. Though his heart ached at the thought of it.

Moving to him, she slapped his leg and scoffed, "Relax. You don't have anything I haven't seen before. Besides, I was a candy striper. Dad's a doc-" She cursed herself, remembering that her father wasn't a doctor now, so she needed another excuse. "My dad insisted. Still, I worked in a hospital before. Red striped uniform and everything."
Sitting next to him, she tilted her head back and grinned. "Of course you missed me. Who else is gonna tell it like it is." She reached over and adjusted his glasses on him. "For the record though, I did miss you. And I don't say that to anyone often."
