Rachel didn't want to do the Halloween Party anymore, she wanted to be at the hospital where she belonged with her mom, dad, and her father. It was just a really depressing day and she felt guilty that she had thought and said all those rude things about him for not showing up and all that time he was in the hospital with a shot gun wound. When Finn came over she was of course drying her eyes. She greeted him with a hug and then a kiss, "Hey Finn." She sniffed back the tears ( ... )

Finn smiled at her and hugged her back. He knew she had to be feeling a lot of crazy things right now, and he totally thought that the party was a good way to distract her.

"I know you're worried about Leroy, but this will be a good distraction for you. Especially since you can't really do anything about it right now." He said, kissing her cheek.

"And you look really pretty, by the way, sweetheart." Finn said, hugging her again.

She didn't want to let him go, it felt nice to be in his arms especially when she was feeling overwhelmed and sad at this moment, at least in his arms she felt safe and secure.

"That's what my mom and dad both said. And you guys are right, its just that if he wakes up and I'm not there....." She then brushed back some tears. "Never mind, I don't want to start crying again. But everyone is right, I do need a fun distraction right now. Friends and an amazing boyfriend is just what I need, and alcohol seems to take the pain away." She gave a little smile.

"Thank you, I have your mom to thank, she has some great taste in clothing." She was going around the house to make sure everything was perfect for the party. "I can't wait to see what everybody else is going to be wearing." She was getting distracted already, which was good for her.

Lauren Zizes loved Halloween. She wasn't going to miss out on Berry's costume party. She actually spent most of early Saturday getting ready. It had been difficult deciding on a costume that was somewhat creative, but appropriate for the 1950s. Lauren didn't do typical. She wouldn't be going as a witch, that much was for sure. After finding a sequined, fringed dress, Lauren decided she would dress as a 1920's flapper. She was careful to do her make up, complete with a bright lip and heavy eyeliner. Lauren even pin curled her hair. She added a long necklace for a finishing touch. She grabbed a purse and heels before leaving for the party.

She arrived at Rachel's doorsteps shortly after. Lauren knocked on the door. She was genuinely excited for this party.
