Blaine smiled warmly, "I'm glad I could come by as well. I've been encased in boredom at home." Blaine picked up a cookie and bit into flipping to the next page. "What kind of cookies are these. They're wonderful."
"Oatmeal." Kurt smiled, "I'm glad you like them. I made them before you came over. I was a little rushed so I hope they came out okay." Kurt smiled over at him happily.
He fell silent for a time before looking up over at him again, "Blaine, do you... do you ever think there will be a time when people like us can... just be how we are and not have to hide?" He asked softly. They'd never really talked about it before, but they both knew.
"That sounds wonderful." He sighed dreamily, looking off for a moment, in thought. Then his blue gaze fell back on Blaine, "I just wish we didn't have to wait until we were in our 50s or 60s, you know?" Kurt was being a romantic dreamer in part but he was also curious about what Mercedes had said. She'd said she wasn't the only 'new kid' from 2011 and that made him wonder about Blaine. Was that why he'd been so apt to talk to him, befriend him and even admit to his orientation despite how people would normally react in 1956? Maybe he was just dreaming it all up, but it was worth a try. Right?

"I think that we will," Blaine started, "We are people. I believe that people like us can get married one day."
