Pros fic rec

Okay, I have to bookmark this story, because I know I'll want to read it again, and again. After a few nights of reading very mediocre attempts at Pros fic, this one shines like the unearthed treasure it is:

Broken Cover by the Angelfish Archivist. The author says it's a 'post Slush Fund story', but as I haven't yet watched that ep, I can't say ( Read more... )

New Angelfish Archivist fic??? (runs - in a virtual sense - to the Archive).

Ohh, there goes my morning! And I should be packing!

She's only got one other fic, 'Chances', also at the archive. According to Justacat, she's a long time Pros fan who has just started to write, to "give something back" to the fandom. 'Chances' was brilliant too.

So nice that people are still writing good Pros. *happy dance*.

'Chances' was responsible for keeping me up until nearly 5am this morning ::blush::. Once I found it I had to read it, and I'm so very glad I did.

They're both extremely well written stories, and I was conscious of being impressed all the way through both of them. That is, I'd be utterly involved in the story, totally grooving on it, and then I'd take a step back to admire the way the author had achieved it. Normally I'd be uncomfortable with dual awareness levels in play, wanting to keep to the story itself and not the execution of it, but this was so enjoyable I was mentally applauding all the way through, and I didn't mind at all! LOL

Packing! :-( I'm happy for you, but sticking my tongue out at Murphy's Law, which lets you run off to the mountains just as I'd found a local Pros fan *g*. It's all about me, obviously ;-).

I'm kinda sad to be leaving Hurstville too, but there is just no way that we could afford to buy a place the size we need here.

Will have to visit for coffee, and once we're settled, you must come & see the new place. I still fully intend a Brit TV day! Know anyone with "The Sweeney" eps?

Up waaaay too early this morning :-(

A Brit TV day in the mountains sounds very nice! *g* Or even just a Pros day, if we can't scrounge up any other shows ;-).
