US embarrassed as Taliban steal Humvees

My guess is that all the equipment on those trucks have hidden transmitters on 'em ... the whole deal seems "iffy" ... the "escort" troops had a brief fire-fight with the attackers, and then just retreated ... didn't call in air support or anything. I assume it would be easy enough to re-fit Predators with "sniffers" for RFID-like signals, which could lead to major air strikes on where the Humvees, etc. ended up!

I thought they were sans escort. It's nice to think our guys are this crafty but if the "escort" was comprised of local troops I would not be surprised about a lack of will to engage in a fight.

They do it all the time. It's common practice, or at least had been up to now. Another time the Taliban stole crated attack helicopters!
