This fatigue best be explained by sleep apnea. I mean for crying out loud. I was in bed last night by 8:30 after falling asleep in the recliner. (a whole evening with no soccer, no rehearsals, etc can really tire a soul out). Up this morning at the sound of the alarm at 5:30. Mind you. The whole time consciously uninterrupted. Now 11am at work ( Read more... )

I'm the same way, no matter what time I go to bed I NEVER wake up refreshed. I nearly fall asleep in the shower...and on the way to work, and by mid afternoon.....forget it, I'm a zombie. Jeff says i snore bad, he wears a cPap. I probably need to have a sleep study myself. UGH

Randy has also mentioned the snoring. In fact, he's amazed at how loud I can get being such a scrawny little bastard.

Sounds like you should get checked out. Or hell. Try Jeff's cPap for the hell of it and see if it makes a difference. If he can go a night or two without it.

The other observance Randy has made is that it's most prevelant when I sleep on my back. Does that make sense to the others out there with this sleep disorder?

Both my ex-partner and a guy I dated for a year have sleep apnea, and it was worse when they slept on their backs. The snoring would get so loud that I'd have to sleep in a room on the other side of the house. Both are now using CPAP machines to counteract it. They swear it cleared the problem up. Neither of them complains about not feeling rested anymore.

thanks for that scoop. it does help knowing there's some consistency with what has been going on with what others have been thru with this.

That sounds about right. Other half has sleep apnea also (doesn't wear the cPap machine and he SHOULD) and when he is on his back sleeping the sound is TERRIBLE. I think I have a touch of it myself though...I have woken myself up with my snoring....he is MUCH louder than I am though. I can hear him across the house

my dad has sleep apnea. He said the differance is amazing now that he uses a CPAP. He says that it saved his life.

My Dad too. My understanding that it tends to be hereditary. So it ALL makes sense once you put all the pieces together.
