Damn you. Make me cry while the sun's still in the sky so everyone can see, why don't you? Neal is sometimes in great need of someone grabbing him and shaking him by the shoulders till his brain is straight again.
There's something fragile about him, like his little facade of suave might break at any time. And I would very much like to see Peter (and El!) hold his little heart together.
Oh, oh, you made me cry with this. Love the writing style, so visceral from Neal's sad perspective, and almost stream of consciousness but better. Oh Neal! *hugs him* I think this really is canon, how he devalues himself.
