Elf on Tour: Detroit, MI part 1

Nov 07, 2024 07:26

Sunday, I was up early to have breakfast and finish packing.
A 40-minute ride to the airport, returning the rental car, checking bags, through security. Easy.

This was a Delta flight so I was excited to pester some pilots for trading cards again!

Your cards look fascinating, something I had no idea about until now :)

I tend to leave the screen on with no sound when things like your election are happening too.

Yes, if you ever fly Delta, see if you can get a trading card! They're super cool.

The ceiling of the theater looks fantastic!

Today I looked up what transcribing music means. Do you transcribe, because it is an exercise which makes you understand / remember the music better?

And I went to a concert (in Europe) and I saw a female trombonist! I only noticed her, because you wrote about them being rare. The orchestra played soundtracks and was part of a online-radio-station called Klassik Radio.

The ceiling was pretty there :)

No...not music transcription. This is a side job having nothing to do with music. It's legal transcription for courtrooms.

Glad you saw another female trombonist in the wild. They're becoming more common but are still quite rare.

Thank you for answering! Now I am less confused. I already wondered why you had to transcribe so much while you were on tour already.
