Because of my love of Sunkist Fruit Gems, I always look for gelee' candies since Italians like that texture, too. Yum!

Sounds like a great first couple days in Chicago.

Yes, I think we had another comments thread in the distant past about those candies! I love them too :)
These are just like those, only smaller candies (which is good because it seems like more candies for sharing)

Agreed on all accounts.

It's not the size of the gelly that counts, it's how many you eat!

Ohhhhh that first photo! We did the architectural boat tour the first day of my trip, then spent the rest of the week reciting facts we'd learned about buildings as we saw them again.

All the food looks amazing.

I really now want to taste a shot that doesn't give me booze face. I've done 2 shots ever, I think both were vodka, and blech! I also taste the alcohol in anything and am not a fan of that taste.

A biiiiig group of us are doing the architecture tour on Monday! I haven't decided whether or not to go, because I also haven't been to the Art Institute yet and I'll probably only have time for one thing ( ... )

Thanks for the recs. I usually get Absolut so maybe that's the problem. But also, yes, I can taste the alcohol in everything, even a silly little wine cooler (woah 90s throwback) or a hard seltzer.

I understand the hard choice between the Art Institute and the architecture tour. If you do the tour, bring sunscreen! Or sit below deck.
