" One candy has a poppy on it so I assume poppy seeds? Another had a lemon or lime. Some had pictures of hazelnuts. " And the one with the baby on it has real baby, don't you think?
Like you, I would have been in heaven in that grocery store, and come home with a bag of assorted new tastes. I'm not surprised by the birch drink, because I have some Russian pine cone preserves; my guess is that in cold places with a long winter, people find vitamin C in all kinds of places.
I actually clicked on "diphthong" because I thought it must be a secondary meaning for the word, that it was a kind of hail!
Sorry to hear about Jameson's hand. I expect it's both literally painful and scary for a musician.
Lol! I sure hope there’s not real baby in that one!
Several of my Russian circus friends have chimed in since to say that they used to drink birch sap directly from the tree as kids. Very culturally interesting and cool.
That night, diphthong had a dual meaning haha
Jameson has made an appointment for a second opinion so we are hoping for the best.
I love that bathroom handwashing sign! My favorite area pub has the same graphics but lyrics from London Calling from The Clash.
1. London calling to the faraway towns 2. Now war is declared, 3. and battle come down 4. London calling to the underworld 5. Come outta the cupboard, ya boys and girls
6. London calling 7. now don't look to us 8. Phony Beatlemania has bitten the dust 9 London calling, 10. see we ain't got no swing 11. Except for the ring of that truncheon thing
As I started to scroll down on the picture of The Moss Center for the Arts I thought at first it was a typewriter! Funny. Just had to mention that. :-)
