Logistical problems

So a few friends and I were going to go shopping for bridesmaid dresses for mysticengineer's wedding. mysticengineer suggested that Sunday the 23rd, the Sunday after Purim (Jewish holiday coming up this Friday, for those who do not know) would be a good day for her. Funny -- I also don't recall being very aware of Easter back in the US (at least once I got out of public school), and am even less aware of it over here, so it came as a shock to hear an ad on the American radio station I listen to over the Internet discussing "dressing one's children in their Easter best." Not only was I unaware of Easter, but I don't think I've ever lived in a place where "dressing in one's Easter best" was a phenomena visible from public areas.

But don't get me started about stores closing on יום העצמאות like it's יום כפור -- I'm _not_ looking forward to that.
