You didn't fail at the word count--a drabble can be 100 words OR LESS.

First you did wonderful on the word count the idea is 100 words or less. There are people who strive to have the lowest amount (which I think right now has been 49.) So you did GREAT. Though if you want to write over 100 words...they have prompts and OVER 100 words--check out THURSDAY100PLUS. This is FANFIC so it's okay whether you charter is out of voice or even AU.
