Oh look, an update
Seventeen days til holiday, yaaaaaayyyy!! Off to Thailand in February. On the one hand, yay holiday, on the other, FiL and his wife will be with us the entire time. So. Could be a long two weeks. We've got three nights in Bangkok, three nights in Hua Hin, then a bit of a road trip up north to Udon Thani. We may spend a couple of days up by the ( Read more... )

I take it you'll be staying with FIL the rest of the time? He's been out there a while right, do you know him well or will this be your first extended bit of time with him?

Well later in the year Thailand will just be unbearably hot and sweaty.
They live in Udon Thani, so we'll be staying with them there. The rest of the time we'll be in hotels with them. He's visited a couple of times - he and his wife were here for a week back before we bought our old house, and then he came by himself for the better part of a fortnight for the wedding. I know him well enough, but this will be the most time spent with him. Should be interesting.

Yeah that's a good point. Elly goes to Thailand or Singapore most years and its usually in the spring.
I hope interesting translates as enjoyable. I assume there's no beef between G and stepmum (stepmum?) or such like. Will there be golf?
