To anyone that reads this comment they're only gonna think I'm kissing your ass- but this was awesome! I liked this Baralai here; he wasn't like the other one in that other fic you wrote when he and Nooj met up and Nooj scolded him for wanting to rehash useless memories. I understand of course that this was a different conversation, but Baralai was different. Hm. *zips lips before nonsense comes out*

You never talk nonsense. What happened was this: a reader over at FFN got exasperated with the darkness of the stories I was writing and challenged me to write one in which Nooj and Baralai met, had a coffee or something and visited. One of his conditions was that Nooj had to smile - really smile. So I wrote "Tea and Empathy" to fit that challenge. That started me thinking and I thought no one had ever written about the two men comparing Shuyin stories. I thought it might be fun. And it was! I can take no credit for the way Baralai presents himself here. I just sat the two down in the tavern and let them talk. All I did was write down what they said. Heh!

I am delighted that you enjoyed this Baralai. I'm rather fond of him myself. Thank you for reading this long-winded story and even more long-winded explanation. I appreciate your comments, always. ;)
