Loving cat to a good home

Ok, we need to find a home for our cat Matrix. Our new landlord wants a huge pet deposit, which is ok but he also won't let us put in any kind of cat door, and wants only an indoor pet. Matrix is a very indoor/outdoor cat and I don't think he'd be happy here. He's been staying with my parents since last summer when we moved into an apartment, ( Read more... )

We'd take him if George weren't so pissy about sharing his space, and I mean that in the most (unfortunately) literal way. :(

Definitely don't want George upset then :) Thanks for the thought though!

Seriously, if you don't think he has a problem with kiddies, let's talk about this. I think we might be a good fit.

He's incredible with little kids...last summer, he let my nephew Devin who was about 6 months old pull his tail and pretty much smack him around, and all he got was an amused look. Of course, we promptly stopped Devin from using him as a pull toy, but Matrix took it all in and sat and waited for more :) He's very, very laid back. He's not declawed, but we've only had him scratching at the screen door a couple of times, and we stopped that ASAP with a spray water bottle. He's never scratched furniture or kids/adults, and never bitten. Just a happy and fat cat :)

Oh, excellent. He sounds like a sweetie. I live in a duplex; it has a front and back yard. When Chase and I were still together our cats went in and out all the time. I see a lot of the same cats around the neighborhood. My neighbor in the duplex DOES have a dog but it's one of those little purse dogs and gets carried around on a pillow and never let out. :P

I've been wanting to get another cat since Chase moved with ours, for me and the kids. They've both been around kids and we've made a point of teaching Thomas to be kind and to care for pets; Ben too, of course, but he's still tiny. :P. And I don't declaw. If you really feel like you need to find Matrix a new home, I hope you'll consider mine. :)

I think you would be a wonderful family for Matrix, and I'd love to have him placed with someone I would trust! Drop me an email at kwilson020ATgmailDOTcom and we'll work out a transfer, or I can arrange for you to meet him first if you'd prefer that. He'll come equipped with a large bag of his favorite food, a litter box (not that he likes to use it, he prefers the great outdoors) and a travel case.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
