OKAY SO. As of this post Glitch has his brain back. Sort of. Basically it's the closest the hamsters could come up with, so like...if one were to hatch the other half of his brain and could only guess at how it would work, that's it. He's still missing distressingly huge swathes of his memory (namely just about everything pre-canon and thus pre-Taxon), but all the stuff he sort-of remembered will now be readily available.
Because of the nature of item petitions, at no point will he be able to explain how this happened. He's going to try and pass it off as a glitch the aliens just forgot to end, basically.
Things Which Will Be Exactly The Same: He'll still be 100% cloudcuckoolander, he'll still have optimism out the wazoo, he'll still fluster, and he'll definitely still be cheerful, outgoing Glitch. Nothing will change about his base personality. Also: the zipper stays.
Things Which Will Be Noticeably Different: The stammer? More or less gone. He'll remember that conversation from a few days ago, he'll remember your name if he hasn't seen you in a few weeks, he'll remember the major Taxon events (and a few of the preseries headcanon horrors that I've in-game hinted at him knowing about), and everything that happens from here on out will be remembered all normal-like.
