[ Helen had checked the tablet before leaving, making certain that Jenna was in and available before leaving. Her offer had been a kind one, one that Helen had been a little tempted to take her up on at that moment. And she would have done had her mind not been a little confused ( Read more... )

[ jenna hadn't quite been expecting visitors for a while, but she would never turn someone down. that just wasn't how it worked with her, especially now that the house was empty except for her. she'd taken to cleaning, actually looking through some of those old boxes she hadn't touched since miranda and grayson's deaths. it was painful, but something that needed to be done.

she was sitting on the floor with her back against the wall by the stairs when she heard the knock. standing up, she moved to pull open the door, smiling warmly at helen. her hair was pulled back, so it wouldn't get in her way while she worked, and boxes were scattered around the floor, but jenna still stood back and pulled the door open further, clearly inviting helen inside. ]

Hey, Helen, Did you want to come in?

[ few people here went door-to-door just to say hi after all. ]

Yeah. Still haven't seen the werewolves, but I got the vampire chat.

[ another sip of her tea. ]

At least it makes all that ancestral jabbering make sense. They were always into heritage, but I'm not a Gilbert, so I was never privileged enough to hear the story. Whole family's a nutcase.

[ eyeroll. sip. ]

[ One day, Jenna, one day she will show you a whole new world ]

Are they really crazy if what is written is true? Especially when you've admitted it as such.

[ and it will blow her mind. ]

You should have met Grayson's brother, John. Maybe you'd join the throng of people who would rather hit him than talk to him.

[ She knows the feeling

But she has to laugh a little at that ] I'm not so certain. [ She's not a violent person she just does what is necessary to defend people, even if that means violence. But generally? The calmest person you could meet ]

The guy's ego is the size of Russia. And he's a jerk. There's no living with or around him and he says much more than he should to anyone about personal issues.

[ like who he sleeps with. she gives her cup of tea a scrutinizing glare. ]

Maybe you'd get a kick out of reading some of the family history books. They're just gathering dust here now.

I've known a few similar to that. [ Although Nikola's ego was certainly larger than Russia ]

Perhaps. [ She enjoyed history, okay ] It could even provde to be a different tale to those that I've heard before.
