"Hi!" he greeted with a wave, then hauled open the tall, ornate door and stepped outside to give Anita an informal little half-bow. "Welcome...here. DG's up in her studio working on a thing, b-but I can show you around a bit and maybe introduce you later. Come on in."

"It's made out of ice," she pointed out as though he had not seen, raising an eyebrow. "You all live inside there and it's made out of ice?"
Well, maybe it was different on the inside. She supposed she couldn't really assume much in a place like Taxon. Logic didn't seem to apply in some cases here. She just shook her head as if to retract her comment.
"Thanks. I'm pretty intrigued to see what it's like, actually."

Glitch held the door open and gestured into the main hall with its dizzyingly high ceiling and forest of columns. A few of the columns were wrapped in twinkle lights leading off to the left toward the ballroom. On the right-hand wall was the portrait of the queen and the Regent her adviser Glitch as he'd been before. At the back of the hall was the wide-sweeping staircase leading to the gallery and living areas.
Stone, marble, glass, all greens and blues shot through with gold and the occasional purple.
"Here you are, summer home of the royal family of the O.Z. and...well, current home of me and DG." Pause. "She's a princess, but i-it's nothing formal. She grew up in Kansas."
