[visual | location: library] Sweet revenge for what you’ve done to me

Jun 16, 2011 12:06

It's been a few days, but still, Willow is officially Not. Pleased. Too many things have happened in too short a time. Added to that the little encounter she had with an actual hamster alien and she is angry. The days have not cooled off her temper. In fact, the added time has just made it worse. People have been hurt lately, two of her friends in ( Read more... )

Kind of? I-it was running from me more than anything and kinda squeaked out a few words while hiding. I think it was afraid of me...

You talked to one of the hamsters? ... what did it say?

Not much. I think it was blaming my glitch on someone called Mayhem, but I'm not sure I believe it.

Somebody is named Mayhem? [Cruel parents.]

What's a "glitch"?

One of the aliens I think.

Uh... when something goes wrong in Taxon, like when someone who isn't a vampire becomes one o-or otherwise suddenly acts or thinks really strange things. It's called a glitch here. [ pause. ] Not to be confused with the person called Glitch.

Anita flicked her own video feed on a moment later to reply, her expression one of hard resolve. "I'm very interested. I'll be there shortly."

"Great. See you there!" Willow's just glad someone seems interested.

Its Willow's black eyes which make Quinn panic, and then she remembers - Willow's eyes had been black when she gave her Elena's location. She knows Willow is a witch, but there is a bad feeling creeping into Quinn's stomach.

"Willow...are you? Are you okay?"

That bad feeling is probably a good idea right now. Willow is not happy. She does take a couple of breaths to calm herself and get everything back in order before she answers, though, and by then she looks slightly more normal.

"Hi, Quinn. Yeah, I'm fine. Really. Just a little annoyed with the hamsters." And that's putting it mildly. "How are you doing? Feeling okay?"

In the library, Willow's camped out at one of the tables, reading books. They're never the books she really needs - where's that stupid big deal spellbook she got for Christmas when she really needs it? - but at least these will pass the time until someone decides to arrive.

"You know I'm with you."

DG had made that much perfectly clear in the past and would continue to do so for as long as it was necessary. She wasn't the only witch in residence and if there was anything they could do to help then they would do it together.

Although it was difficult to look serious in a pair of pyjamas, DG was suitably business like when she joined Willow in the library.

"What did the hamster say?"

"Please say it was something helpful, for once."

Where DG went, Glitch was sure to follow. He couldn't help with anything magical but maybe he could coax his half-a-brain into coming up with other ideas.

At the very least he could show sleepwear solidarity.

Willow glanced up when she heard DG's voice, offering a smile as she tried to force her eyes to return to their normal color. Magic was great, but her temper was starting to hamper everything else.

"Thanks, guys," she answered, offering them chairs to sit down in. "Not much, really. It blamed someone called Mayhem and then promised to tell Mayhem that I wanted to talk to him. Not sure it helped much, but at least I know it got my point."
