Asher had kept Charlie restrained and weak in the house for days while he learned about where he was. Going back through the tablet's archives explained why the sunlight didn't bother him, it was artificial and lacked the heavy UV component that was so deadly to his kind. House stopped when he found a replicator hatch. He hooked his cane over the edge of it while he puts his hand on the hatch to replicate more of what he needs. He does pause, however, a strange feeling... It gives him pause to look around. Having seen nothing he returns to what he's doing.

While House was bent to the replicator, Asher moved quickly, appearing right behind him in a split second. He had hands on his shoulders and was pulling at him the moment he stopped moving.
