The whole city may have seen Adrian arrive in costume, but Lex wasn't yet a fair citizen of Taxon when this occurred and nothing has been said between them about Adrian's past as a superhero. It will certainly cause him to regard Adrian in a new light in terms of how he has come to market himself so well at the very least.

Lex arrives outside Adrian's door with briefcase in hand. Owning up to his promise not to barge in on the room he had given Adrian he instead stands outside and knocks.

Since Adrian sees little point in playing secretive games about his past (and future? one can hope) as a mask, Lex will find out all he likes about it soon enough.

He appreciates the nod to his privacy, and opens the door immediately. "He- Mr. Luthor," he says, biting back the instinct toward his childhood language. "Come in."

Lex gives Adrian a slight lift of the brow after he walks inside. "You can say hello, Mr. Veidt. I had hoped we at least moved past that formality." It's a struggle to speak properly, but since English is his first language Lex still manages to mostly maintain his usual poise.

"Is the room to your liking? I know standards were a concern."

Of course he knows that the room is exactly what Adrian wanted, but that doesn't stop him from being polite.

At least he's not the only one having difficulty here -- Adrian's seen the communications going on around the tablet feeds, he's aware of what's happening, which is why he's been keeping a low profile. He just smiles at Lex's gentle reprimand, however. 'Hello' hadn't been the word on the tip of his tongue.

"Yes, thank you." It's an excellent room, and Adrian's manner conveys that, even if his words are sparse. "I am nearly unpacked."
