Jason and Sookie being in A Fight doesn't stop Jason from going about his regularly scheduled business. He sets out a lawn chair in the middle of his yard, and if Sookie sees him from next door and wants to yell, fine. This is his house and his property, dammit

"Special occasion?" Brennan asks a tad curiously, eying the cake on Jason's plate.

"It's special 'cause I got cake." Food is the cause, not the effect. "Plus I don't got my sister to bother me. It's a good day."

Brennan doesn't really understand that logic, but she isn't questioning it for once. Instead, she frowns slightly at the mention of Sookie. "Oh? You and your sister are having a falling out?"

It was somewhat hard to imagine Sookie fighting as Brennan had only seen her sweet side. But being a little sister herself, Brennan knew better than to think that siblings never argued.

"I dunno about a falling out exactly. We're just in a fight."

Yes, it can get quite heated between them, but at the end of the day Jason knows that these fights aren't ever permanent.
