[visual | location: a Wilde bar] the streets of gold i've yet to find

Mar 03, 2011 01:18

After February Jason needed several rounds of a good beer. Drinking on his own was fine, but not knowing where his own local bar was located, in his opinion, was just sad. It didn't take long for him to find what looked like a sports bar. Thankfully it looked much more like Merlotte's than Fangtasia.

When he sat down and ordered what was on draft ( Read more... )

"Why?" Brennan asks in confusion, a frown knitting her eyebrows together.

Why what, one may ask; why was Jason planning on getting trashed, why was the alcohol free, why for the party - who knows exactly, but the anthropologist is suspicious. Why isn't anybody else?

Jason is going to go with what to him seems like the most obvious why.

"Why's the booze free? Hell if I know, but the bartender's been keeping his word. Good enough for me."

And what do you do with an unlimited supply of free alcohol? That's where the trashed party comes in.

Suppose that was the most pressing question. Tilting her head to the side, Brennan continues her questioning.

"And that doesn't sound even a least bit dubious to you?"

Hey, they did just have a zombie invasion. It wouldn't surprise Brennan overly much if this month's quirk turned out to be something extra (no pun intended) in the free alcohol.

He was halfway tempted to poke at the bartender just for a reaction.

"I don't think extras can lie. They just hang around doing shit."

"Free booze?" Paul asks, then laughs shortly.

"If this is their way of making it up to us...... what the fuck, I'll take it. Who are you, I don't think we've met yet?"

"I don't think the aliens care about making up nothin'." He's never eloquent, but Jason usually has no trouble in getting his point across.

"Jason Stackhouse. Got here right before the zombies." Despite his recent change in occupation, Jason neglects to introduce himself as Officer more often than not.

"I don't think they care about anything but jerking off to the sight of us all being eaten the fuck alive and shot and panic-ridden and diseased and every other fucking thing while laughing hysterically to themselves the entire time."

(Yes, Paul's opinion of the aliens has drastically dropped since Zombie Hell.)

"Paul Smecker," he answers with a nod. "Given we're discussing getting smashed, I'll say it's a pleasure." He tabs his map up briefly, glances at it.

"So the 'party' is in Wilde, hmm?"

The idea of giant hamsters jerking off is absolutely terrifying. Jason chooses to reply about the party instead.

"Pretty much. Dunno if you'd call it a party yet, but there's people who aren't extras and fucktons of alcohol." Jason normally watches his mouth more than he normally would around his elders, but since Smecker broke the cursing barrier first Jason thought it was safe to run with it.

No, I believe you. I just don't believe the hamsters. Is this supposed to be their way of making up for the zombie invasion?

I dunno what they think. And I really don't want to. If they are trying to make up for shit, what's wrong with just going with it?
