Spike is sitting on the floor in the Hyperion lobby hunched over and concentrating hard. He's holding a deck of cards, and several other piles are in front of him on a foot stool in the solitaire set-up. He moves an ace up and stares at the cards for a little while before flipping three down. Then he moves the cards around again. This continues for

That one definitely hits. Spike can't help but admire the kick even as he goes flying backwards and crashes into the wall. It dents a little, and hurts, but not enough to really phase Spike. He flashes Buffy a smile. "I liked my method of cheating better." And with that he pushes himself off the wall and runs at her, aiming to slam into her.

Buffy wasn't actually expecting Spike to get up so quickly (and was just beginning to feel guilty for hurting him), so the recovery and lunge at her certainly catch her off guard. She stumbles backwards into an entirely different wall, most of her breath knocked out of her with the impact. "What's the prize, anyway?" She manages to ask, continuing their extended metaphor.

"No bloody clue. Depends who wins, I guess." Spike has a lot of experience getting knocked down by people stronger than him. Getting up fast sometimes means being able to catch Illyria before she makes her next strike and getting a hit in. Still, he wasn't expecting to catch Buffy off guard. He raises an eyebrow, amused. "Underestimating me, pet?"

"You got lucky," she quips back, smiling - she's enjoying herself, even if there may be bruises later. "Won't happen again." She punctuates this last remark with another punch.

It's a good punch, and Spike's grunts as it hits and his head snaps back, still grinning. He's also having a great time. "Good." He brings his hand up to rub his jaw for a fraction of a second, then hits her back. He's not holding back at all anymore. "You're bloody gorgeous when we do this, you know."

Spike's punch lands, and it hurts, but it's a good kind of pain. It's been a ridiculously long time since she had the opportunity to train properly, let alone fight, and Spike is a great opponent. In fact, between the well-timed compliment, adrenaline and general close physical boyfriend-contact, she's feeling pretty turned on, which is unsurprising.

"Yeah, I know what you mean," she replies, grabbing his shoulders and pulling him into an urgent kiss.

Spike kisses her back desperately, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her closer. Buffy's very clearly not the only one turned on from all of this. He breaks the kiss but keeps his arms tightly around her. "Thought you said this was cheating," he mutters before kissing her again.

"I changed my mind," she breathes, somewhere in the midst of all the kissing. Her attention has wandered completely from the sparring now, and her hands are doing their fair share of wandering too. It's a pity the setting is so inappropriate, which she'll be breaking the kiss to mention now: "Where's a bed when you need one?"

Spike understood logically the need to break the kiss in order to talk, but it still seemed like a waste. He brushed his lips over the corner of her jaw. "Hotel. Castle." He kisses her neck. "Do we need a bed?"

Buffy leans back against the nice helpful wall behind her, tilting her head to give Spike all the access to her neck he wants. "Someone might come." There's potential for a pun there. "Someone not us," she adds, capitalizing on said pun. Although, honestly? She's pretty close to the point of not caring about anyone walking in. It does seem highly unlikely, considering they broke into the place.

He pulls back to leer at her. "Oh, someone'll definitely come." The pun is obvious and she clearly noticed it, but it still has to be said. He's tempted to move in to kiss her again, but through a force of will, he resists. "We can move if you want to. But let's make it fast. I do have a bed at the hotel." Which they might break at the rate they're going.

She can't help but smirk at his response, her thoughts running along the lines of 'yep, it's never been a problem before', though she doesn't say this out loud. It doesn't take her long to deliberate about whether to leave or not, and she nods quickly. "Okay, let's go." A millisecond pause. "Your room isn't right next to Angel's or anything, is it?" Because that would be so awkward.

He shakes his head. "No. God, no. It's a big hotel. And I don't think he's even in, anyway." With a slight groan Spike forces himself to stop kissing her and step away. He reaches for her hand and squeezes. "All right."
