The Doctor hatched a set of handcuffs. They were for him to use. The last time he'd let someone else restrain the Master, the Doctor had held him, still in restraints, as he died. That wouldn't happen this time. The Doctor would save him. Somehow.

Everything was ready. It was just time to move forward.

The Doctor handed John the drill and nodded. The map Piper had hadn't circulated, as far as the Doctor knew, but he didn't want to wait in case she got antsy and decided to spill the Master's location.

"Right, everybody," he said, playing the role of leader. "Let's move out. Set your tablets to lock out the Master and all of the victims, all right, all of them. He might be listening in. Everybody try to stay together. The last thing we need is for someone to become another hostage. And remember! We're capturing the Master, not killing him."

Piper chose to stay at the back, and watched silently as the Doctor gave his orders. She's already decided to stay behind, feeling as though she'd only do more harm than good if she went along. And she might, considering her power's more defensive than it was offensive, and she had absolutely no fighting skills at all.

She rubbed her arms, and began to pray - for the success of this rescue mission, and most of all, for the safety of the victims.

Please, please be safe, Tara.

Mabel stands next to the doctor, listening. She has no armor to speak of, but she hatched some durable clothing and solid boots. There's a knife in her inner pocket - one she isn't going to tell the Doctor about, it's just for emergencies - and her bat rests on her shoulder.

She'd find a flippant remark to say here, but she's mostly just frustrated. She has specific skills and again in Taxon, they're no use.

At least she'd get to hit some people.

The Doctor nodded to Hermes and River.

"Right, you two. Clever as you are, might be best if you scout ahead, let us know what you find."

He didn't like the idea of sending River in. She was too young, too fragile. But, still, better to have her go in and do something he thought might keep her safe than go in fighting.

Sam is playing by the Doctor's rules and not killing people. Even extras. Between the taser he's got and a nice right hook, he doesn't really have to kill anyone. They get some good licks with a pipe or a well placed fist but Sam is used to fighting demons and worse. The extras don't pose much of a challenge on their own but the sheer numbers occasionally do. None the less they end up unconscious and he ends up alright by comparison.

Mohinder is on Sam's heels and basically just tossing Extras out of the way. The blunt weapons most of them are attacking with do little to nothing to him, and he just wants them gone.

He's actually careful not to injure them too much, however- he watches his strength and tries to make sure he's not tossing them too hard against the walls. Even if they are just Extras- well, he's here to rescue people, not kill them.

He keeps an eye on his fellow rescuers, and tries to prevent them from getting hit with things when he can.

It would be pretty safe to say that Casey's enjoying himself. All of his pent up frustrations at being abducted against his will and stranded in a strange city are getting nicely worked out as he wades through the horde of Extras trying to stop him from getting inside.

His staff makes short work of anyone getting within reach. He knocks them unconscious, or shoves them hard out of the way. Several get their feet swept out from under them, or their knees whacked with enough force to send them crumpling to the floor in agony.

He tries not to use lethal force, but broken bones he has no qualms about.

This means he does get clocked a few times and some strikes to hit their target, due to the sheer number of Extras who are engaging them, but he shrugs them off, focused on his goal to get to the victims and to Morgana in particular. Now and then he finds himself helping out or being helped out by one of the other people on the rescue op. He briefly nods or shares a look, then continues on into the fray.

Setting up the Device

As they approached the building, the Doctor nodded to DG and Glitch. "Right, here. Take the rope and this." He handed over the makeshift signal disruption unit. "Hook it to the end of the rope and lower it in. About five feet from the ceiling should be enough."

He hoped.

He nodded to Lorne. "Once it's in, wait until I confront him. I want to give him a chance."

Glitch nodded firmly and accepted the device. "Right, five feet from the ceiling, all we've gotta do is...get up there."

Good times.

With an equally firm nod, DG checked the rope that she'd already looped over her shoulder. It wasn't an easy task, but she felt surprisingly calm. Determined. Backing out didn't - and wouldn't - occur to her.

She looked up at the building, trying to calculate the best route. The drain pipe looked promising.

"Ready, Glitch?"
