[Location: Suresh's apartment] Imposing Order onto Chaos

May 10, 2010 20:24

Mohinder had spent a few hours cleaning his apartment after talking to Max. It wasn't really meant to be a cleaning, but he had to in order to find what he'd been looking for: a non-descript dark blue hoodie. It had been Peter's, and Mohinder had mistaken it for his own one day when he'd run back to his apartment. He never had a chance to return ( Read more... )

It took Max a little while to find Mohinder's apartment, and when she arrived, she waited a moment before knocking. She didn't know why she was feeling a bit anxious - possibly because she hadn't really discussed Peter's sudden absence with anyone who really knew him. She figured Cordelia had held a grudge from when he had attacked her (and really, she couldn't fault her for that) and didn't think he and Buffy had ever met. Mohinder was someone who knew him from home - maybe not as well as Sylar (Gabriel?) did, but Max didn't know him well enough to trust him and had heard enough things about him to want to keep her distance.

Mohinder, however, she knew and liked. So after a moment more, she finally knocked, her hands finding their way into the pockets of her jeans as she waited.

He headed to the door quickly, startled out of his thoughts by the knock. He opened the door with only a little bit of fiddling- apparently, the hamsters that ruled this place decided he really needed that doorknob to be rather faulty. He gave Max a wan smile as the door revealed her, and he stepped aside. "Please, come on in."

He fidgeted a little while waiting for her to enter, then realized what he had forgotten earlier. "I forgot to ask what kind of tea you prefer. I have a wide variety."

Max nodded to him as she stepped inside, then gave him a brief look of confusion when he asked her what type of tea she preferred.

"Oh, uh...I'm not sure. I haven't really tried many types." She tried to remember what kind Kendra liked - she'd always been able to score a box or two, but Max had never been all that interested in partaking. She had tried it once or twice, though.

"Do you have chai?"

His smile grew a little more genuine at that. "It's my favorite, in fact. I'll get it out."

He looked back over the combined living room and kitchen. "Please, sit down. Make yourself comfortable. And- er, just push the papers out of the way if you need to." There were still a couple covered seats in the room, despite his best rather mediocre efforts.

Sagramore is making an effort to show his face a little, especially since Mordred has not taken well to his working plan of lying around getting massively drunk. And he remembers liking Mohinder the first time he talked to him.

So some time in the afternoon he shows up in his tunic and the anachronistic winter scarf he loves so much, looking a little awkward, and knocks on the door.

Mohinder takes a minute to get to the door, because he'd gotten caught up in a blood mutation that he was actually looking at for the fourth or fifth time. He was still trying to brainstorm possibilities.

But he does manage to yell, "Just a moment!" as he closes his laptop (a habit he learned after an infected Sylar had waltzed into his apartment a few years ago). He heads to the door and fiddles with the knob before tugging it open.

"Hello?" he asks, noting that it's at least not an Extra. He'd only spoken to Sagramore over voice, so he doesn't recognize the man (of course, he's not the best at remembering faces, so he might not have anyway).

"Hello. I spoke to you before, on the thing?" Very helpful, Sagramore. On the other hand, that interesting blend of Hungarian/Turkish/I've-been-in-Camelot-for-the-last-twenty-years accent is fairly distinctive. "Sagramore?"

Oh yes, that is a very distinctive voice. Recognition flashes across his face and his posture relaxes a little. "Ah, yes. Hello, Sagramore." And- well, he could probably use a break anyway. Helen had done a pretty good job about making sure he took them when needed- a little of that had actually sunk in.

He's not sure why Sagramore's here, but an offer would probably not go remiss. "Would you like some tea? I was just about to make some." He steps back a bit in order to let the man in, if he'd like.
