[Location] Around and about. Wandering Jack is wandering.

[OOC: and so it goes up today. Yay for LJ!fail. Oi.]The Hub seemed quiet without Ianto around. It wasn't the first time Jack was completely on his own but it seemed... strange. Now he understood what Ianto had tried to convince him of when he first arrived in Taxon; now Jack understood the power of this place to take and send people away at whim. ( Read more... )

For a little over a month, Doul has been ill and unable to go for his usual run through the city. Now that he's (mostly) recovered, it is as good a time as any to prepare for the cold and take to the streets.

Perhaps he'll meet up with Jack near a public water fountain?

A water fountain is as good a place as any.

Jack was wandering aimlessly, not really watching where he was going. The hope is that he doesn't run into anyone... running. Now that would just be unfortunate, wouldn't it?

The Extras move out of Doul's way without any fuss, which allows him to focus more on his own internal thoughts and less on navigations, and so Jack's presence forces him to take second longer than usual to adjust his stride when approaching the water fountain. Unwilling to speak first, Doul nods and bends to drink.

Jack wasn't sure if the man was just rude or going off on his own way. Then again, Jack had gotten used to the Welsh as, where he was in the country, no one bothered him because he couldn't speak the language. Give a nice smile and he tended to get treated well in return.

So, apparently, Jack was going to have to speak first. "'lo," Jack spoke.

Unlike Jack, Sheppard did have a destination in mind. He was on his way back to his apartment from Cheyenne Mountain. It was great visiting with Vala and Mitchell. It was just that Sheppard knew he didn't belong with SG-1. Atlantis was kind of an entire galaxy away from Earth. Still. They were the closest he had to his own team.

He looked up at the man in the coat. He had seen him a few times, talked with him at least once or twice. And he still didn't know his name.

But, either way, Sheppard gave him a friendly half-assed wave.

Jack looked up just in time to see Sheppard walking towards him. They hadn't, surprisingly, exchanged names yet they had spoken several times. The wave earned him a wave and a smile.

Not to mention heading in his direction as well. Maybe it was time to actually do something silly -- like exchange names.

Well, it couldn't hurt to make another friend in this screwed up city. Right?

"So, you're still around? You do a great disappearing act."

"I haven't left," Jack replied. "More like... kept myself hidden for a while." Jack smiled, giving Sheppard a wink. "Besides, gives a bit of a n air of mystery, does it not?"

The Doctor, on the other hand, was running. Running with a jar full of thick, toxic liquid that appeared to be melting through the bottom. Clearly this most recent experiment was not going as well as he'd hoped.

"Not good! Not good!"

Oh. OH! That was a voice Jack knew well. He turned quickly just in time to see the Doctor go flying by.

When the hell did he get here!?

Jack turned on his heel, kicked his coat back and took off after the Doctor. "DOOOOCTOOOOR!"

Why was it he always seemed to be running after the Doctor shouting his name?

"Jack?!" Jack?! Was that Jack? That sounded like Jack's voice, but the Doctor was a bit busy running down the street with a very volatile bottle of explosive material.

"Well, it's about time!" the Doctor barked behind himself as he continued to run. "What's kept you?!"

Why yes, it was Jack. A Jack who was, as always, running after the Doctor. One of these days he was going to make it so that the Doctor was the one running after him for a change. Boy, wouldn't that be nice?

Ideas and thoughts for another day.

"What kept me?" Jack asked, lengthening his stride to catch up to the Doctor. "What's kept you? I've been here!"

Lucky or not for Jack, the Master had yet to actually notice him, far too caught up in his own mind. The result of this was evident in his appearance, every muscle tensed to the max and a deep frown on his face as he tried to work through... well, whatever his problem was.

But no doubt when he found Jack, all that tension would snap and his pacing would come to a very quick halt.

Of anyone in Taxon, the one person Jack didn't want to see would be the Master. Yep, he could happily go the rest of his very long life without seeing him ever again. Happily. Very, very happily.

Jack, however, wasn't going to get his wish. He spied the Master and did the one thing he could think of. [Well, not the one thing. The other idea involved pulling his Webley. But he figured that should be Plan B rather than Plan A.]

He turned coward and walked away.

Unfortunately, the tell-tale turn of the coat was enough to pull the Master's gaze up in the direction of the captain. And, well, where would the fun be if it hadn't?

The Master openly laughs at the sight of Jack, clapping his hands together and following him in his escape. "Oh, so you are still in the city! One can never quite tell with you! It's almost disappointing."

Bugger. So much for trying.

Jack exhaled quickly, stopped, then turned to face the Master. "I like keeping you on your toes, what can I say? You never know if I'm here or not!" Jack shoved his hands into the pockets of his greatcoat, rolling his feet onto the outer edges of his boots. "I'd have thought you'd have crawled back under your favourite rock by now."

Aimless is something Levi excels at. He's actually taking advantage of being able to walk in the sun, hands in the pockets of his trench coat and sunglasses firmly on his face. He's hanging around in the shade right now, watching the Extras go by, bored out of his mind. If Jack walks by, he'd be happy to chat with him.

Right now, Jack could use a bit more company. He's usually so extroverted but over the course of the past few months he turned into quite the introvert. Friends and -- well -- a bit of a flirt would do him a world of good.

"'lo," Jack said with a bit of a nod.

If Jack's looking for a good person to flirt with, Levi is definitely his man. Of course, what with Shane being in Taxon, it won't go further than that, but Levi is more than happy to be playful. When Jack nods and speaks, Levi pushes the sunglasses up on the top of his head, and gives the guy a grin.

"Hello there," Levi replies. "I don't believe we've met properly before, have we?"

Jack is still hoping that Ianto will make his way back, but in the meantime, he can certainly have a bit of fun, can't he? Besides, it's been a while since Jack's been able to just... let his hair down as the saying went.

"No, I don't think we have," Jack replied, inclining his head. "I'm Cap'n Jack Harkness."
