Cameron actually didn't mind the unbraceleted people so much as others did. They were friendly, and they kept things from getting too quiet and lonely, when the ones with bracelets were doing their own things. Without them, the city would be far too large. The mountain alone would be too large ( Read more... )

"The big tree-thing in Central Square makes you wan- need to get gifts for folks," Glitch replied and shoved his goggles up onto his forehead. He was in his workshop, poking the innards of some mechanical nightmare form the depths of the palace. "And the wreaths make you sing about reindeer, whatever those are."

"Really?" And suddenly he was glad he'd never bothered to hide in the mid-city. Generally because he had no doubt there were lots of wreathes around there.

He squinted at the image. "They make you sing carols you don't know?"

Glitch nodded gravely. "Let me put it to you this way: we don't even have Christmas where I'm from and I know Dasher and Dancer and and...okay, maybe I don't remember them all but still." He shrugged and smiled. "It-it'll be over soon, though, right?"

[OOC: Is okay! We've all been busy ♥]

A world without Christmas. Hardly a new thing. As far as he knew, Tau'ri-human populated planets were the only ones who even had a similar concept. Then again, he hadn't read any report where SG-1 went on a recon mission on Christmas.

That said, introducing Christmas--rather, retroactively soothing culture shock related to it--was pretty new.

He frowned, and nodded. "Should be. Few weeks or so, and the decorations go down. At least where I'm from."

Tosh was out exploring, trying to avoid all the Christmas cheer. It hadn't been Christmas at home, so it threw her somewhat.

"Crackers, always hated those," she said, walking past the man.

It was as valid an excuse to avoid it as any. Better than his, probably.

He glanced over his shoulder at the woman. "That a personal preference, or should I be wary of doing something...festive if I have any?"

Tosh smiled to herself. "Personal preference, mainly. Hate the little hats, and the jokes make me cringe."

He squinted at the woman, attempting to puzzle out her words. "They don't summon little elves, do they?"
