"Also, the concept of coasters? Completely alien to them." The scary thing is, she actually speaks from experience. At any rate, she's returning that smile, because it has been ages since she last spoke to Dexter, and she's happy to be correcting that.
"So. How hypothetical is this hypothetical? I mean really."
"Hypothetical like..." Dexter reaches up, running a hand through the back of his hair. "Today. I thought coming out of hiding for a bit might be nice, since it's not healthy and all. And I've discovered that birthdays alone? Suck."
