Well, there went the neighborhood. Eric supposed it was too good to last, a life minus horrible accents and stuffy, stick-up-the-ass vampires. He sighed at the hologram, before switching on the [visual] function to reply.

"Calm down, Billy," he said dryly. "Whining will hardly do you any good here."

Bill blinked as Eric's most unwelcome face showed up on the device.

"Eric," he acknowledged stiffly. "Of course you would be here." He took another look around. "And just where is here, exactly?"

"So nice to see you too," Eric replied with a mocking smile. He ignored the various implications of that statement - he could have feigned indignation or hurt that one would assume this was his fault, but. ...Well, this was Eric, after all.

"Here would be Taxon. Don't be expecting a welcoming committee."

"Taxon," he repeated, "It would be helpful if you could give me more than a name."

You will not 'abide' being kidnapped?

[Cassie snorted, rolling her eyes, even thought he can't see it.]

Oh, yeah. That'll do wonders with the management. They'll let you go home any minute now. Good luck with that, pal.

Fuck if I know.

[Oh, Cassie. You are SO helpful.]

Some people say that it's either pirates or aliens. And I haven't seen any empty bottles of rum around, so I'm leaning towards the second one.

Bill totally feels helped now, Cassie.

"I... see." Well, that was decidedly inelegant. Bill cleared his throat, tried to think of something more intelligent to say, but in the end, he didn't manage more than a disbelieving "Aliens?"

[It's just a voice response, 'cos Sookie's not especially great with computers and hasn't managed to make the tablet work properly yet. It mostly works of its own accord, but sometimes she tries pushing buttons and... yeah. It's a whole thing. Hopefully now her computer-savvy boyfriend's in town, she can learn a thing or two.

But yes. A voice response. A hopefully-very-familiar voice response.]

Bill? Oh my goodness!
