[Accidental Visual/Location: outside his cabin/open] there are better places for a nap Jack.

It's amazing what will actually get the man out of his cabin. One of those things seems to be having two friends. Each trying to avoid the other and both staying at his place off and on. He did consider setting Vala and Daniel traps respectively, just to get them in the same room again ( Read more... )

Abby had been trying to get herself out more, but sometimes habits created by trauma are hard to break, and instead of getting out more, she just kept her tablet waiting for open feeds to come through. She was bored on this particular day, and when her screen flickered to show a sleeping Jack (she recognized him from their previous stroll through Taxon), she couldn't help but smile and decide to play the part of an annoying daughter or sister.

"Anyone ever tell you it's a terrible idea to sleep outside?" She had to admit, the spot he had picked did look amazing. She wondered where it was. "People are bound to bother you." She grinned in a smug little way. "Did you ever find that friend of yours that you were looking for?" Apparently she planned to talk until he woke up.

Jack didn't stir at first. He looked pretty comfortable, if not a tad ridiculous all curled up in ball. When he finally did come to, it was with a start.

He mumbled into the ground, "...what are you doing in my room?" Wait, he started to uncurl and looked vaguely embarrassed. "Um..."

Abby stifled a chuckle as the older man stirred. She waited patiently for him to realize where he was. When he had his bearings a bit more, she cleared her throat.

"Sorry, I couldn't resist." Another smug little smile. She was full of them today. "Where are you anyway?"

When the fate of the world doesn't hang in the balance, Jack is a bit slow to get moving. He rubbed his face for a minute before picking up the tablet.

"Uh.." he ran a hand through his hair. He glanced upward, "Outside." Helpful.

"Uhm... hello?" Ashley had noticed her tablet kick on with the feed of the guy outside. Asleep. Which was odd, didn't everyone here already have a home? He wasn't someone that Ashley had seen before so either he was new and she'd missed it or he'd been around at other times. Either way sleeping under a tree was not comfortable.

There was some grumbling before he finally replied, "Yeah... what?" Oh yes, wonderful mood for the colonel today.

Wandering around the whole of Taxon was a habit Siri had started indulging in since her arrival months ago. Normally, she kept to areas that weren't too close to the homes of those now forced to live her, preferring to keep to herself, but she'd started coming closer and closer to that which she avoided lately. Was it out of loneliness, curiosity, or concern? Perhaps a blend of all three, but she wasn't willing to admit to any of that yet.

She paused at the site of a man sleeping under a tree of all things. Did he not have a place to call his own? Edging closer, Siri knelt and reached out, gently shaking the man's shoulder.
