Somehow, some way, Bruce's tablet was still attached to the bracelet even after the past few days rampaging through the city. The audio clicks on first and one can hear rather heavy breathing. The video kicks in shortly after, and one giant, green monster can be seen sitting in the middle of a lot of rubble in the northern district. There's not ( Read more... )

[You had better believe that when the green creature appears on his tablet screen, Godric takes notice. And you had better believe that when the creature transforms into what seems to be, for all intents and purposes, a human being, Godric memorizes his features before signing off.]

Peter made it a habit to check the tablets for broadcasts after he woke up. In case he missed something important. Which, he apparently did, since his mother's mansion was in ruins all of the sudden. He nearly dropped the tablet he had in his hands.

"What the hell?!"

If Bruce was his usual self, he'd trip on his own words, apologizing profusely and generally being a flaily git.

However, he was not as he was still unconscious.

So here, Peter. Have a few more shivers and muted groaning noises. Sorry he's not up to the usual level of witty banter.

At least Peter recognized him. Well, he had seen the guy around the Sanctuary. Which usually meant he was some sort of special or that Magnus liked him. He sighed and grabbed his coat, pulling it on to go collect the nearly naked guy.

Who was sleeping where the living room should be.

Thank you very much, Peter. When Bruce wakes up, he'll appreciate the whole coming to get him thing. Very much so.

...He will also be very, very, very sorry about the mansion. Deeply so.

When Gaila sees the Hulk on her tablet, it is only natural she watches with terrified interest - after all, she ran for her life from him and worried well after Godric had reassured he was fine. (He hadn't looked okay, and she vividly remembers some of the fight when she had turned to look.)

So when she watches the rather painful and, truly, disgusting transformation, she is unsure what to do. It's David, after all - he is so shy and sweet. How had he transformed into such a terrifying, angry creature?

"David?" Her voice is so quiet and feeble; she clears her throat and tries again, louder and firmer. "David?"

Bruce barely hears her, even after repeating herself. He's too out of it to do more than just stir a little at Gaila's attempt to wake him up.

Maybe it was because he was tired. Spending the entire night running around as someone else will do that to you. But as Nathan came home trying to figure out exactly what had happened at that party, he just wasn't ready to understand that his home was currently lying in rubble.

Moving up the front walk, Nathan messed up his hair a bit on purpose -- The Clark Kent look was actually starting to bug him more than it had originally, mostly because he was oddly comfortable with it by now -- and only looked up when his foot touched on the bottom step. Because the second step wasn't there.

Nathan slowly raised his eyes, and they almost popped out of his skull when it all sank in. "... What..." Well, at least he made it that far.

And then he saw the man laying amongst the rubble, and he rushed straight for him. "Hey, are you alright?" Shh. He knew it was a dumb question.

But if he knew, then why did he ask? Because no, Bruce was definitely not all right and wasn't exactly up for conversation at the moment.

It's not you, Nathan. It's him.

He'd try to remember that and not get offended. Nathan shoved those annoying glasses into his pocket and crouched down next to Bruce, looking him over to determine if anything serious was wrong with him. Aside from being a man who was lying in a pile of rubble. You know, the rubble he'd previously been living in.

But he wasn't Peter, so he wasn't getting much of anywhere. He was, in very rare cases, a cargo jet. That might be helpful considering how bad off he was. "Alright." He muttered, and then spoke a bit louder to hopefully wake the guy up. "Hey. What happened?" They'd get to that eventually, wouldn't they?

Should he even move him right now? Nathan glanced over him, considering his options, and had no idea. Where was Peter when you needed him? He touched his arm, hoping he wouldn't hurt the guy in the process, and shook him carefully. That'd do something. Hopefully.

At least Bruce was going to be really, really sorry about that rubble formerly known as your pad later? That's something at least.

He made a small sound at the contact. He'd flinch, but that would take a lot more energy than he had at the moment.

[Another comment that isn't really here.

Spock notes the creature's apparent return to humanity, though it is evident that he will not be able to converse with the man for some time. He intends to seize such an opportunity as soon as it presents itself, however. For now, he will merely exercise his patience.]
