It's Wednesday.

This is a very important day. Today is laundry day, like every Wednesday and Saturday, and just because he's in Taxon doesn't mean Billy is going to slack off on his schedule. Of course, he hadn't been following that schedule before, but the arrival of a certain redhead has changed that entirely. So in the afternoon, Billy gathers

Penny had managed to find the laundromat by complete chance one day when she had ventured from her room (She's careful every time she does, tracks where she's going, makes note of interesting places - she likes exploring, but she doesn't want to get herself too lost. Billy had mentioned bears, after all.) for lack of better to do, and she had wandered by it a few times just because it was some place familiar.

Comfort in familiarity. That's probably why she's pushing the door open with her hip, laundry basket in hand. Not that she has a lot of laundry to do yet, but it wasn't like she had anything else to do, either, and it's the sound of the running washing machine that makes her lift her head, startled.

"Billy!"

When Penny makes her way inside, Billy immediately perks up, smiling a little. He's still totally nervous and dorky and all sorts of anxious around her, but at least she's here. And Captain Hammer isn't. Billy is way okay with that.

"Hey, Penny," Billy says, and he's trying to tone down the huge amount of enthusiasm in his voice. There's a lot, just saying.

She grins a little despite herself, eyes immediately ticking to his face. "You're doing laundry," she observes, and then straightens up a little. "And your face - it looks a lot better."

There's relief in Penny's tone as she hauls the laundry basket up to a nearby washer, popping the lid open. "Wow, that's.. really good to see."

"Yeah, not like I have much else to do here," Billy says dismissively. And yay, she noticed his face! He's very pleased, rubbing the back of his neck. "Sylar fixed it. I told you, right?"
